DAY OF CARING

This year was the first of participation in Day of Caring for one volunteer team. Certified Pest Control is a local, small, family owned and operated business. The Certified Pest Control team spent their morning at a resident’s home, re-painting his garage. The four volunteers managed to scrape the whole garage, and repaint three of the sides during their short shift. The first-timers stated that they plan to continue to be part of Day of Caring in the future. Later in the afternoon a few volunteers from William Penn University and Musco picked up where the first group left off and finished painting the garage.  The homeowner offered praise and thanks to the volunteers all day, stating his garage now looks better than his house.
