If my new running shoes don't already come laced up, I go straight for the good old crisscross lacing technique. It's simple enough to do in the dark. For someone with no foot problems, this technique works alright. For others, not so much.

If uncomfortable shoes are making your runs or walks into a torture routine, it's time for a change.

If you suffer from foot problems, whether it's high arches, wide feet, narrow feet, etc., click through the slideshow below to find a lacing technique to alleviate your pain and discomfort.
